Novel incoming: Mercedes is the unicorn of TaskRabbit. The most hands-down incredible, capable, kind, and hardworking person I have ever hired — a jack of all trades. I booked her on less than 24 hr notice for what was supposed to be a standard one day packing job, and she completely transformed what could have been a high-stress move into a seamless, flawless experience over 13+ hours spread across three days of hard work. 

 I kept running into issues and she had a solution for every one and did it all, exceeding any normal expectations for an extremely reasonable price.

 Not only did she pack every item in my 3BR house meticulously with delicacy, attention to detail, fragility, and precision, organization, and with care — she taught me about a hundred tips along the way about using my tools, organization, cleaning, and ADHD hacks. Brilliantly created me a CUSTOM BOX to transport my complex, giant Litter Robot which is an odd shape— I didn’t know that was a possibility. She was willing to pick up a larger box if necessary as well. She also taught *me* how to clean it after doing it for clients in the past and tips on how to clean my basement, and was willing to. Also masterfully used exactly the amount of boxes and tape I had purchased somehow, and labeled everything perfectly, while checking what words would make most sense to me. 

 She assisted me in expertly disassembling multiple pieces of furniture, had more tricks for my tools, plastic wrapped giant cat trees, helped me bag my Queen mattress and by help I mean literally just did it completely alone, and brought it downstairs.

 Instead of having to hire someone to unmount my large TV like I had intended after two other people couldn’t figure it out because it was mounted upside down, she came back the next day with her own ladder and figured it out in like 10 minutes after me, and two other people were trying for 1 hour previously.

 It continues — (this is not a sponsored review, I met her 3 days ago genuinely, frantic, after my uBox loaders ghosted me, and I was hit with ADHD paralysis, absolutely nothing packed for a cross-country move in 11 days.

 After casually bringing up my uBox loaders ghosting me, and panicking — seeing as I don’t drive. Mercedes took major responsibility and went above and beyond and offered a solution to rent a uHaul truck, and offered to to pick up my uBox for me — because again, I don’t drive. Which she did the next day, helped me pack for four more hours, and then came back for the THIRD DAY in a row the next morning, and not only helped me load MORE things that I had missed overnight and packed after she left — she took the rental truck back to uHaul for me seamlessly. Not only that — I didn’t have a lock and she picked one of those up for my uBox as well.

 I cannot express the amount of things that she fit into my single uBox, expertly, like a genius, it was spatial wizardly to make *every* single thing fit (including a big recliner, a DEEP freezer, large trash can, desk, bar booths, two cat trees, queen mattress, fragile decorative table, large TV, small dresser, 10+ trash bag sized clothes, linens, coats, tv stand, shelves and shelves of books and the litter robot — and how safely, taking the time to visualize and explain to me why she packed x like this vs this, or the way my boxes were packed and sorted. The contrast to her perfect packing versus the few things I packed was hilarious. She also set reminders on her phone for me to put my AirTag in the UBox, and had tips for doing some of my laundry last minute without ruining it.
 Mercedes is reliable, punctual, communicative, incredibly versatile, trustworthy, and a logistical genius. Somehow she is all of that but also hilarious, intelligent, and an absolute joy and an overall cool human being with a very comfortable presence. She brings a positive genuine and uplifting attitude and unmatched work ethic and willingness to jump on tasks that most casual helpers wouldn't touch, or wouldn’t even know how to do. On the second day, I had to request that she take a break.

 Bonus: My nervous cats loved her, which says things. She was also very careful not to let them outside. If you want a stress-free move, do yourself a huge favor and hire her immediately. Thank you so much, Mercedes!Unpacking Service
