Chief Executive Officer

An expert at building and scaling large, mission-minded organizations, Stacy leads TaskRabbit as CEO. In 2017, Stacy led the successful acquisition of TaskRabbit by the IKEA Group. During her tenure, TaskRabbit has expanded its presence into 45 markets across the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada with a plan to expand globally. In addition to shaping the future of work, TaskRabbit is now a core driver of the e-commerce and services strategy for the world’s largest furniture retailer with the mission of making everyday life easier for everyone.

Prior to joining the company, she spent nearly a decade at Google heading online sales and operations. Stacy sits on the board of directors for HP Inc., Nordstrom, and Black Girls Code. She holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. Stacy lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two daughters.

Brian Leonard

Chief Technology Officer

The company’s technical co-founder, Brian leads the engineering, product, design, and data science teams in building TaskRabbit’s applications and infrastructure. Previously, Brian was a Software Engineer at IBM Lotus. He graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and earned his M.B.A. from Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. Brian resides in the SF Bay Area with his wife and two children. On the weekends, he can be found teaching them how to build things.

Danielle Merida

General Counsel

Danielle Merida is General Counsel at TaskRabbit where she manages all aspects of TaskRabbit’s liability and oversees Regulatory Affairs and People Operations. Danielle is a true business partner to colleagues focused on getting to yes, helping the business grow, and providing practical advice to a cutting-edge startup at the forefront of the fast-paced gig economy.

Prior to joining TaskRabbit, Danielle spent ten years as at Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group in San Francisco as Senior Vice President of Legal focusing on strategy and growth. Prior to joining Kimpton, Danielle was a Deputy County Counsel for Contra Costa County and in private practice at Bingham McCutchen (acquired by Morgan Lewis). Danielle received her law degree at Columbia Law School and her Bachelor of Science from U.C. Davis. Danielle is on the Board of Directors of Girls Leadership which equips girls with the skills to exercise the power of their voice. Danielle lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two daughters.

Sarah Rose

Chief Product Officer

Sarah Rose is a seasoned entrepreneurial leader, organizational architect and avid product builder with deep experience across a wide range of technology companies.

As Chief Product Officer at TaskRabbit, Sarah leads the company’s product and innovation strategy. With a relentless focus on building an exceptional Tasker and client experience, Sarah and her team drive the vision and execution of TaskRabbit’s task management network.

Prior to TaskRabbit, Sarah served as Chief Operating Officer at UrbanSitter where she partnered closely with the CEO and founders to create, scale and deliver the most trusted and innovative online marketplace for childcare in the United States - a service that has become a life-changing product for parents and childcare providers alike.

Prior to UrbanSitter, Sarah led product and growth for innovative, fast-growing consumer companies at the intersection of commerce, content and community, including ModCloth and Polyvore.

Along with her husband and three children, Sarah loves to hike, bike and explore beautiful places in and around the San Francisco Bay Area.

Laura Moon

VP Operations

Laura Moon joined our team in 2018 to oversee Tasker Operations, Trust & Safety, and Customer Service. Her mission at TaskRabbit is simple: to ensure a great experience for both our clients and our community of freelance Taskers. What she loves most about her job is leading and mentoring her team members—always aiming to help them grow as they achieve success. She holds an MBA from Stanford Business School and a BS from James Madison University, and her industry accomplishments include leadership roles in operations, product management, and marketing at Intuit, Glassdoor, and Castlight Health. Laura lives in Marin County with her teenage son Connor, her partner Rich, and her dog Scout. In her free time, she loves to be outside in nature hiking, skiing, or biking. Sources close to her say she also likes to goof around at her neighborhood CrossFit gym between punishing workouts.

Helen Chang

VP Growth

Helen is responsible for scaling TaskRabbit through marketing and product driven growth. She leads our full-stack Growth Team, which also includes our Marketing Team that is focused on brand building, customer acquisition and retention. Helen is a quant growth marketer with almost twenty years of experience and brings a data-driven approach to building and leading global teams to scale, optimize and build brand equity.

Previously Helen was at leading tech companies such as eBay, Quotient Technology, Hipmunk and Weebly. Helen lives in San Francisco and in her spare time enjoys yoga, culinary experiences, and traveling to places near and far.

Sadeepa Wijesekara

VP Engineering

Sadeepa oversees TaskRabbit’s engineering and leads all of TaskRabbit product platform, infrastructure and security areas, harnessing advanced technology that helps to simplify everyday tasks for everyday people around the world.

With more than twenty years of experience, Sadeepa joined TaskRabbit from Intuit where as an engineering leader, he helped build an on-demand financial services platform for the gig economy. Prior to Intuit, Sadeepa held leadership positions at Berkeley National Lab, JPMorgan Chase, Worthington Industries and Oracle working at the forefront of significant corporate technology transformations.

He graduated from University of Bridgeport with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and earned his M.S from University of Pennsylvania. Sadeepa resides in the SF Bay Area with his wife and two sons and loves playing tennis and experimenting with different grilling styles.
