Ania Smith

Chief Executive Officer

A seasoned leader with deep expertise across a variety of multi-sided marketplaces, Ania joined TaskRabbit as chief executive officer in August 2020. Ania brings more than 20 years of experience in global business operations and strategic planning, as well as a passion for making everyday life easier for everyday people. Guided by Ania’s leadership and in partnership with IKEA, TaskRabbit continues its growth and expansion across North America and Europe.

Prior to joining TaskRabbit, Ania was with Uber, where she led courier operations for Uber Eats. Before this, she spent several years in key roles at Airbnb, developing targets and strategy for North America business operations before leading the growth of host services.

Previously, Ania was with Walmart eCommerce, focusing on strategy and partnerships, and with Expedia, concentrating on the brand’s growth into central and eastern Europe. Earlier in her career, Ania held several consulting roles, including Booz-Allen & Hamilton and L.E.K. Consulting.

Ania holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the University of South Dakota and an M.B.A. in Strategic Management and Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and their three children. Together, they love to travel and enjoy hiking, rafting and biking.

Amy Ming Zhang

Chief Financial Officer

As CFO at TaskRabbit, Amy Ming Zhang is responsible for all of the company’s financial functions as well as the development and implementation of the overall financial strategy. Amy is a seasoned business leader that is committed to ensure the right level of financial discipline across the company and to drive towards sustainable profitable growth.

Amy’s career spans 25 years of varied experience in financial management, retail operation, business leadership, and corporate strategy. Prior to joining TaskRabbit, Amy spent 18 years in IKEA, where she held various leadership positions in retail operations and strategic management in three countries, including the U.S., Australia and China. Amy’s last position was CFO at IKEA China.

Amy lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two children, and together they enjoy traveling, reading, hiking, and exploring different vegetarian foods.

Danielle Merida

General Counsel

Danielle Merida is General Counsel at TaskRabbit where she manages all aspects of TaskRabbit’s liability and oversees Regulatory Affairs and People Operations. Danielle is a true business partner to colleagues focused on getting to yes, helping the business grow, and providing practical advice to a cutting-edge startup at the forefront of the fast-paced gig economy.

Prior to joining TaskRabbit, Danielle spent ten years as at Kimpton Hotel & Restaurant Group in San Francisco as Senior Vice President of Legal focusing on strategy and growth. Prior to joining Kimpton, Danielle was a Deputy County Counsel for Contra Costa County and in private practice at Bingham McCutchen (acquired by Morgan Lewis). Danielle received her law degree at Columbia Law School and her Bachelor of Science from U.C. Davis. Danielle is on the Board of Directors of Girls Leadership which equips girls with the skills to exercise the power of their voice. Danielle lives in the Bay Area with her husband and two daughters.

Jennifer Grasso

VP Product

As the Vice President of Product, Jenn leads the Product and Design teams at TaskRabbit in building exceptional experiences for Clients and Taskers. She believes in a customer-first approach to product, and brings this people-centric mindset to building and leading global teams.

Prior to TaskRabbit, Jenn helped transform and scale products for leading consumer-facing companies at the intersection of commerce and community, including BabyCenter, ModCloth, and Le Tote. Jenn lives in Berkeley with her husband, two kids, and a variety of furry friends. She spends her weekends hiking with her dog, Stella, and trying to bake the perfect pie.

Eric Haymond

VP Global Business Development and Partnerships

Eric Haymond is Vice President of IKEA Global Expansion at TaskRabbit, where he manages all aspects of the TaskRabbit and IKEA partnership and expansion around the world. Eric is always pushing the team to find new and innovative ways to meet the needs of the customers and the Taskers.

Before joining TaskRabbit, Eric spent twelve years at IKEA. where he held various leadership roles on the retail side of the business. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for IKEA North America. In this role, Eric led corporate strategy, expansion, digital development, and sustainability. Eric also spent time in leadership roles for Nordstrom and Gap Inc. Eric received his B.A. from Utah Valley University. Eric lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and three daughters, and together they enjoy traveling, visiting the theater, and exploring California’s beaches.

Zac Jacobson

VP Operations

Zac leads TaskRabbit Operations including Customer Service,Trust and Safety, and Tasker Experience to increase engagement, effectiveness, and supply optimization across the marketplace. His team’s mission is to create consistently excellent and efficient experiences that result in loyal Taskers and clients.

Zac has more than 25 years of global operations experience. He joined TaskRabbit from Peloton, where he led Member Support delivering world-class NPS while supporting growth across four countries and three new product launches. Prior to that, Zac held leadership roles with eBay, Time Warner Telecom, Boart Longyear, and the United States Marine Corps.

Zac earned a B.A. from New Mexico State University and an M.A. from the University of Phoenix. He holds certifications in Project Management, Strategic Change Management, Six Sigma Black Belt, and Lean. He lives in Austin, Texas, with his wife and three sons, where you will likely find all of them outdoors adventuring, playing soccer and trying to get better at BBQ.

Brian Leonard

Technical Co-Founder & Senior Advisor

The company’s technical co-founder, Brian previously led the engineering, product, design, and data science teams in building TaskRabbit’s applications and infrastructure. Prior to his work at TaskRabbit, Brian was a Software Engineer at IBM Lotus. He graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and earned his M.B.A. from Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. Brian resides in the SF Bay Area with his wife and two children. On the weekends, he can be found teaching them how to build things.

Jessica Davila

VP of People Experience

Jessica leads TaskRabbit's People function and is responsible for cultivating a strong culture of connection, caring, growth, and impact. Her passion lies with ensuring all employees feel a sense of purpose that results in long lasting commitment to TaskRabbit's mission and vision.

Over the last 20 years, Jessica has created employee-first experiences through growth and scale, mergers and acquisitions, global expansions, and digital transformations. Prior to joining TaskRabbit, Jessica was the first-ever VP of People at Bread, a fintech startup, where she grew the company from 70 to 200+ employees in less than 2 years and led the company to acquisition by building a 3xs recognized best place to work and a best-in-class people function. She also held senior leadership roles at Hearst, TheLadders, and Sizmek overseeing HR across multiple offices throughout North and Latin Americas.

Jessica studied Psychology and HR Management at Baruch's Zicklin School of Business and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI. When she's not in the board room advocating people-first strategies, Jessica is at home in New York where her 6- and 2-year-old girls own the boss's seat. Along with her husband and English bulldog, they enjoy skiing, playing board games, and having dance parties.
