Stacy Brown-Philpot

CEO

An expert at building and scaling large, mission-minded organizations, Stacy leads TaskRabbit as CEO. In 2017, Stacy led the successful acquisition of TaskRabbit by the IKEA Group. During her tenure, TaskRabbit has doubled its presence in over 40 markets across the United States and the United Kingdom with a plan to expand globally in the years to come. In addition to shaping the future of work, TaskRabbit is now a core driver of the e-commerce and services strategy for the world’s largest furniture retailer with the mission of making everyday life easier for everyone.

Prior to joining the company, she spent nearly a decade at Google heading online sales and operations. Stacy sits on the board of directors for HP Inc., Nordstrom, and Black Girls Code. She holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of Business and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. Stacy lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her husband and two daughters.

Ian Arthurs

Chief Operating Officer

Ian oversees marketplace operations at TaskRabbit, making sure our platform is successful on a global scale. From launching new markets to creating the infrastructure necessary to manage tens of thousands of freelance Taskers, Ian has guided exponential company growth since 2013. Previously, he built and scaled Sales, Operations and Marketing organizations at Airbnb, Meebo, and Google. Ian holds an M.B.A. from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, as well as an MA from the University of Glasgow, Scotland.

Brian Leonard

Chief Technology Officer

The company’s technical co-founder, Brian leads the engineering, product, design, and data science teams in building TaskRabbit’s applications and infrastructure. Previously, Brian was a Software Engineer at IBM Lotus. He graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and earned his M.B.A. from Northeastern University’s Graduate School of Business Administration. Brian resides in the SF Bay Area with his wife and two children. On the weekends, he can be found teaching them how to build things.

Paul Devine

VP Engineering

Paul has scaled engineering organizations since the early days of the web. He manages the product engineering team at TaskRabbit, applying his nearly two decades of experience building award-winning applications and sites to grow the platform. Previously, he served as VP of Engineering at Say Media and Bubbly, and Director of Engineering at Oracle and BEA Systems. Inventor of four awarded patents related to VOIP and mobile-blogging applications, Paul holds a B.A. in Women’s Studies from Vassar College. He was raised in San Francisco and still resides here to this day.

Laura Moon

VP Operations

Laura Moon joined our team in 2018 to oversee Tasker Operations, Trust & Safety, and Customer Service. Her mission at TaskRabbit is simple: to ensure a great experience for both our clients and our community of freelance Taskers. What she loves most about her job is leading and mentoring her team members—always aiming to help them grow as they achieve success. She holds an MBA from Stanford Business School and a BS from James Madison University, and her industry accomplishments include leadership roles in operations, product management, and marketing at Intuit, Glassdoor, and Castlight Health. Laura lives in Marin County with her teenage son Connor, her partner Rich, and her dog Scout. In her free time, she loves to be outside in nature hiking, skiing, or biking. Sources close to her say she also likes to goof around at her neighborhood CrossFit gym between punishing workouts.
