This begs the question of how much the workers (easily exploitable first generation immigrant laborers) are getting paid versus how much Karmel takes off the top. I felt obligated to tip more than I would have liked to because I couldn’t be sure these men were getting fairly compensated. Task rabbit guidelines specify that “assistant workers” must be registered on the app and their profiles must be sent by the contractor. Neither of these two things happened besides vague allusions to a “team” coming, so this was a violation of Taskrabbit guidelines. The workers themselves were great besides being 30 mins late. Next time I will hire someone I can pay directly for their labor and not worry about potential exploitation.Heavy Lifting
