As someone who has done many furniture assembly jobs on Taskrabbit, there's little I haven't seen. Growing up around tools, it comes quite naturally to me, and I work in an efficient, detail-oriented manner. I can also so some repair work, but please be very clear about what needs to be achieved. I carry an extensive tool set. **I do have a two hour minimum for furniture assembly** I'll waive the minimum in cases which a client has also hired me for at least an hour to do mounting or picture hanging work, under that specific category. Feel free to ask about whatever details concern you, and you can send as many details and links as you like if you hire me. Thanks!

Frequently Asked Questions About Furniture Disassembly Services

Many SF apartments have narrow landings and steep stairways, so always disassemble furniture that’s especially big, bulky, or difficult to handle. Empty drawers and cabinets, ensuring that any loose items are safely boxed up and consider tackling junk removal at the same time.

Not necessarily, but they’ll likely charge additional fees for any extra work, including disassembling bed frames. Luckily, they bring their own tools, like hex keys and screwdrivers with various bits, to streamline the entire process.

  • Kate P.Straight to the point, perfect assembly, highly competent, eager to hire again.Furniture Disassembly
  • Cassandra W.Lionel saved the day when two other taskers attempted to scam me (this was a simple 20 minute project- and the original two taskers attempted to claim they had a minimum hourly when not listing that up front and then tried to charge me 2-4 x the amount of money that they had listed etc-- and fortunately task rabbit credited my account and didn't charge a cancellation fee, but it's a systemic flaw that needs to be addressed so taskers can't do a bait and switch after being booked). Lionel was knowledgeable a great communicator, efficient and very much in integrity. He has engineering experience and was pleasant to talk with. My project was very simple and quick but I'd imagine he'd be even more of an asset for complex set ups. Furniture Disassembly
  • Malavika D.Absolutely amazing - efficient, courteous, and communicative. Will hire again! Furniture Disassembly

Do Movers in SF Disassemble and Reassemble the Furniture?

Some movers offer furniture disassembly and reassembly services, but it’s not the best (or cheapest) option. Using a Tasker for furniture disassembly services saves time and keeps moving costs down. And breaking down your furniture protects it from damage.

What types of furniture usually get disassembled?

It's best to break down anything big and bulky, like couches, love seats, and dining room tables. Taskers can help you reassemble these items if needed later on. Don't sweat the big stuff (we're looking at your recliners and pool tables) and hire a Tasker instead.
