It was a big move for her for a new experience on many levels - she was scared to death and actually woke up at the hotel and wanted to come home immediately. And then Andreas was on the scene. I hired him through TaskRabbit to help my daughter move into her new apartment and also pick up all the orders I had placed in the local stores to get her apartment situated. She only brought one suitcase with her, so you can imagine the hugeness of what had to be done with the local stores. I gave Andreas the heads up on what my expectations were -- basically to be very kind and compassionate with my daughter and help her get through her fears as he was doing the heavy lifting, the running to all these stores and helping her set up. He worked hard from first thing in the morning to way after the sun went down, never stopping for a break. I sent him to Walmart, Target, Dunkin, Target again, Pizza restaurant. He brought everything in about 3 blocks away from parking and up 3 flights of stairs and.... what can I say... he was a hero and an angel all in one person. I communicated with him (from a different state) throughout the day as we had to navigate changes and problems with orders and additions to orders and rethinking of certain plans. He was a great communicator and was just so happy to be part of today. He never complained about anything even once and I could hear that smile on his face ALL DAY. Andreas was an incredible blessing to our family and espeically to my daughter for making her move-in as great as it could have been. He was able to quell her paralyzing fears and motivated her to know that she was not alone and he was there to help in every way. I was worried about asking someone to be so responsible for all the luggage and orders and doing all of this, but I had faith that I chose the right person. His incredible personality shows up in his picture. This great big smile. If you choose Andreas to be your task helper, you will have an exemplary experience. You will get someone who is passionate about helping people and bringing success to any task. Andreas is a keeper for us. We will continue to contact him for any additional help my daughter needs while in Florida and we will ask him to help her move out when that time comes in a few months.
