Taskrabbit Launches in 3 New U.S. Cities

Helping People in Memphis, Jacksonville and New Haven ‘Do Away with To-Do’

SAN FRANCISCO, June 5, 2018-- Taskrabbit, the on-demand service that conveniently connects people with Taskers to handle everyday home to-do’s, today announced its launch in three new U.S. cities: Memphis, Tenn.; Jacksonville, Fla.; and New Haven, Conn.

“We’re energized to help more people around the country do away with their to-do’s, whether it’s help with moving and unpacking, mounting a TV, or assembling furniture,” said Stacy Brown-Philpot, Chief Executive Officer of Taskrabbit. "At the same time, we’re excited to connect Taskers in Memphis, Jacksonville and New Haven with opportunities to earn a meaningful income on their own terms."

"I'm so excited to be a Tasker in Memphis,” said Isaac Landfair, a new Tasker in Memphis. “I'm looking forward to helping people with work they aren't able to do or don't have time to do, and I'm excited to earn money on my own time and schedule."

"I am excited about Taskrabbit coming to Jacksonville because it provides a way for me to meet new people while performing useful services,” said Paul Chapman, a new Tasker in Jacksonville.

"I am super excited about Taskrabbit being available in New Haven,” said Ceresa Newsome, a new Tasker in New Haven. “My husband accepted a job opportunity in that area recently, and we will be moving next month with our almost 2 year old son...I was just getting used to Tasking on a more regular basis here in NYC, and I’m happy to know that I’ll be able to continue in New Haven!"

With this expansion, Taskrabbit’s services are now available in more than 45 markets in the United States and United Kingdom. People can visit www.taskrabbit.com or download the TaskRabbit app from the App Store or Google Play to quickly book a Tasker and get help with minor home repairs, mounting, furniture assembly, moving help, yard work and more.

Taskrabbit was acquired by IKEA in October 2017 and since then, has continued to grow in fulfillment of its mission to make everyday life easier for everyday people. In March, IKEA U.S. announced a nationwide roll out of TaskRabbit assembly services online and in stores.

This latest expansion means that Taskrabbit’s service is now available in every U.S. market where IKEA has a store, allowing a more seamless integration for customers who want to purchase IKEA home furnishing products at their local store and have them assembled at home as soon as the next day.
