Most Relaxing Things to Do in LA This Weekend

Do you know what’s a lot more fun and relaxing than mounting a TV? Everything on this list. Take a break and let loose with something outside of your normal routine.

Horseback Riding in the Hills

Take a vacation from your everyday grind and try something new—like horseback riding in the Hollywood Hills. Sure, it might feel a little touristy, but there’s nothing wrong with a staycation activity now and then.

Brunch at Beachwood Cafe

Even though he name-dropped it in his song Falling, you don’t have to be a Harry Styles fan to appreciate the brunch staples you’ll find at Beachwood Cafe. From pancakes to chilaquiles and everything in between, grab a spot on the waitlist for this weekend!

Picnic in Pasadena

Pack a picnic blanket and hit up Roma Market to grab one of their famous Italian sandwiches before settling down for a no-frills picnic at Pasadena Central Park.

Morning in Topanga Canyon

Topanga Canyon

We all have a different idea of what’s relaxing, and if resting after a rewarding hike is yours, we’ve got just the thing! Catch views of the entire LA basin and the coastline with a hike up the Parker Mesa Overlook Trail at Topanga State Park. Stock up on water and snacks before hitting the trail! It’s ~7 miles round trip and may take you a few hours. But we promise it’s worth it, especially with a long (and relaxing) break at the top to take in the view.

Take a Day Trip

Drive up to Ojai for the day to hike to Rose Valley falls waterfall, eat and drink wine on a cute patio, check out the world’s largest outdoor bookstore, or all of the above.
