TaskRabbit Announces New Women Leaders on Senior Leadership Team

TaskRabbit is thrilled to announce the recent addition of three amazing women to its senior leadership team, and is proud to share that women leaders now make up 75% of its Senior Leadership Team. 

Last fall, Ania Smith joined TaskRabbit as CEO bringing a wealth of experience from her time at companies such as Airbnb and UberEats. As a strong advocate for female empowerment, Ania is passionate about elevating women’s voices in the workplace. 

To this end, Ania and the entire TaskRabbit team are excited to have three new powerful women leaders on board, all of whom bring years of valuable knowledge, experience and fresh perspectives. Each will play a critical role as TaskRabbit continues to grow and expand. 

Johanna Tzur is TaskRabbit’s new Chief Marketing Officer, and Amy Truong is leading the charge on technical product efforts as the new VP of Engineering. Also joining the team recently is Jessica Davila, the new VP of People Experience. 

As the team and company continue to grow, TaskRabbit is excited to welcome these new fearless female leaders as they take the company to the next level of innovation and success. Keep reading to learn more. 

Johanna Tzur, CMO

Johanna leads TaskRabbit’s marketing team including media, growth, CRM, PR, and content. With deep experience across performance marketing, digital content, and brand partnerships, Johanna is skilled at driving growth by bringing innovative consumer experiences to life through creative global marketing, media, and branding strategies.

Prior to joining TaskRabbit, Johanna held executive positions at James Allen (Signet Jewelers), HSBC Bank, Procter & Gamble, and the L’Oréal Group, in the U.S., Israel, India, South Korea, and Western Europe. Johanna received an M.B.A. from the Wharton School and an M.A. in International Studies from the Lauder Institute, both at the University of Pennsylvania. She also holds a B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis.

Johanna lives in Miami with her husband and 3 children, with whom she enjoys boating, playing tennis, skiing, and baking.

Amy Truong, VP of Engineering

As the VP of Engineering, Amy leads the Engineering function at TaskRabbit and is responsible for technical leadership and engineering execution at scale. She has grown and developed technical teams across numerous domains, including open source, enterprise software, space tech, social media, and consumer product development.

Prior to joining TaskRabbit, Amy successfully led engineering teams through various stages of growth at Patreon, Planet Labs, Twitter, Rackspace, and IBM. She is passionate about building and connecting technology to solve real world problems, as well as growing a supportive community for women in tech. Amy holds a B.S. in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin. 

She lives in San Francisco where she has developed a new love for succulent gardening. Amy lives with her husband and their two children, and together they enjoy adventures in food and travel.

Jessica Davila, VP of People Experience

As the leader of TaskRabbit’s People function, Jessica is responsible for cultivating a strong culture of connection, care, growth, and impact. She strives to ensure that all employees feel a sense of purpose, resulting in a long-lasting commitment to TaskRabbit’s mission and vision. 

Over the last 20 years, Jessica has created employee-first experiences through growth and scale, mergers and acquisitions, global expansions and digital transformations. Prior to joining TaskRabbit, Jessica was the first-ever VP of People at Bread, a fintech startup, and also held senior leadership roles at Hearst, TheLadders, and Sizmek, overseeing HR across multiple offices throughout North and Latin Americas. Jessica studied Psychology and HR Management at Baruch’s Zicklin School of Business and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI. 

When she’s not in the boardroom advocating people-first strategies, Jessica is at home in New York where her 6- and 2-year-old girls own the boss’ seat. Along with her husband and English bulldog, they enjoy skiing, playing board games, and having dance parties.
