Product Updates
1. Profile building test
- What this means: We’re testing a feature that allows select Taskers to update relevant tools and vehicles both from their Tasker app dashboards and when adding or updating skills. Taskers included in the test will also be able to add business photos when adding new skills.
- Why we did it: Our goal with this update is to encourage Taskers to complete their profiles after onboarding, because clients often look for Taskers who have the best tools and skill sets for the task they need done. In the current experience, Taskers are often unsure what steps are needed after onboarding to make their profiles stand out to clients. With these updates, Taskers will now:
- Be prompted to add relevant, category-specific tools and vehicles when activating a skill.
- Be prompted to add business photos when activating a skill.
- Be able to see skills and vehicle suggestions on their dashboard
- Be redirected to their profile tab after responding to all of the prompts.
2. Onboarding flow update test
- What this means: We’re testing a new onboarding checklist for select new Tasker registrants to give them a clear path toward completing the steps required to show up in client searches and get work.
- Why we did it: We wanted to give prospective Taskers the chance to explore our platform before deciding to submit their registration fee and start their background check.
3. Onboarding supercharge:
Skills in demand and earning potential
- What this means: We’ve rolled out a new feature that showcases information about earning potential and skill demand during registration.
- Why we did it: We wanted to give prospective Taskers more information about their tasking potential as they decide whether Taskrabbit is the right platform for them.

Use the app’s built-in tools to market yourself to clients. Self-marketing can be a tough nut to crack, but the Tasker app already has ways to help you do it! You can use your Tasker photo, Skills & Experience description, availability, and star ratings to bolster your profile and get attention from potential clients. Check out the video below to see how:
