Tasker Round Up: Spring Refresh

We’re here to help you stay on top of all the updates and policy changes as we refresh for spring. Here are the top four announcements you need to know, including can’t-miss policy updates. 

1. Introducing Countdown Timers

To make it easier to stay on top of incoming task requests, you will now see a countdown timer that shows you the deadline you have to chat or confirm a task. This new update will be shown on pending invitation Task Cards on the Home Screen of your Tasker app.

2. Tipping Cannot Replace Payment for Services 

Remember to invoice clients for all hours worked, and decline offers to receive off-platform payments instead of payment on the Taskrabbit platform. If a client attempts to avoid paying for services on the platform in the form of tips, this is a violation of our Tipping Policy. As a reminder, only tasks booked and fully paid for through the platform are covered by the Taskrabbit Happiness Pledge.

3. Appropriate Expenses

We’ve received a lot of feedback from clients that they are more satisfied with Taskers who do not have add-ons to their rate, as the price is more transparent. With our new Pricing Transparency Policy, your rate should account for any costs like gas, tolls, parking, stairs, and vehicle use and maintenance. Charging these costs separately is not allowed. 4. You Asked, We Listened

We are proud to announce that we now have a comprehensive Community Standards Policy to protect our Taskers and Clients from harassment, discrimination, and other questionable behavior. We’re here to facilitate a safe, friendly, professional environment as much as possible!

Did you know? Taskers with clients who rebook them on the platform are more likely to be ranked higher in Client Recommendations than those who don’t. Encourage your clients to rebook you using your Direct Hire link or through the Favorited Tasker feature!
