You Asked, We Listened: Elite Badging Update
This is a super exciting update based directly on your feedback!
We’re making an improvement to the Elite Tasker program based on long-standing Tasker feedback: client-initiated cancellations will no longer be included in your Elite calculation.
Thanks for continuing to share feedback; it directly shapes improvements like this!
Increased Work Photo Discoverability
With this update, clients will now more easily discover Tasker work photos while browsing Recommendations!
Why it matters: Clients want to easily see your experience when choosing between Taskers so they can find the right match for their task.
How this helps: When you have photos on your profile, it helps clients make decisions between Taskers who are otherwise similar.
A photo is worth a thousand words! Providing visual images of your work, including before-and-after photos, can position you as the right Tasker for the job.
What to do: Make sure to take advantage of this update by adding photos of your work by category.
Smarter TV Mounting Matches
We’re rolling out a new update for TV Mounting Taskers designed to help match the right jobs with the right Taskers. While this update won’t apply to every Tasker just yet, we want to share what we’re building and why it matters.
Why it matters: Not every TV mounting job is the same. Some require specific wall types, mounts, tools, or advanced experience, and this update is designed to make matching more effective.
How this helps: We’re developing a structured way for you to share your experience, tools, supplies, and preferences directly in the Tasker app!
What to do: Help us help you. Make sure your Skills & Tools are as up to date as possible to prepare for this update.
Policy Reminders: Tipping Policy & Pricing Transparency Policy
Reminder 1: Tipping Cannot Replace Payment for Services
Remember to invoice clients for all hours worked, and decline offers to receive off-platform payments instead of payment on the Taskrabbit platform. If a client attempts to avoid paying for services on the platform in the form of tips, this is a violation of our Tipping Policy. As a reminder, only tasks booked and fully paid for through the platform are covered by the Taskrabbit Happiness Pledge.
Reminder 2: Appropriate Expenses
With our new Pricing Transparency Policy, your rate should account for any costs like gas, tolls, parking, stairs, and vehicle use and maintenance. Charging these costs separately is not allowed. Our partner, Keeper, offers a guide on what types of expenses you can write off as a Tasker here.
Home Address Update
You can now enter and update your full home address directly in the Tasker app.
How this helps: Having up-to-date address information helps us better support Taskers as we plan future initiatives. Whether it’s logistics, regional programs, or the occasional surprise, accurate info helps us do it right!
What to do: Update your address in the app. Keep in mind, your home address location will not dictate where you can receive jobs; your Work Area Map is what dictates job invitations!
Making Taskrabbit a Household Name
We’re continuing to invest in brand awareness initiatives that help more people discover Taskrabbit and hire Taskers with confidence.
Why this matters: More brand awareness means more demand, which leads to more opportunities for Taskers.
How this helps: Campaigns like our HBO® partnership, Squire for Hire, introduce Taskrabbit to new audiences and drive job growth across markets.
What to do: Stay tuned for more upcoming marketing initiatives designed to grow demand worldwide.
