How to Install a Towel Bar
If you choose to install a towel bar by drilling into the wall, follow these steps:
1. Measure and Mark The Wall
Measure what height you’d like to hang your towel rack at and mark it with a pencil. Make sure to mark where both parts will be drilled into the wall. If you have a no-drill towel bar, please see the section below.
2. Drill
If you’re using wall anchors, drill holes at the marked positions. Insert wall anchors if applicable.
3. Secure The Brackets
Attach the brackets or mounting plates to the wall using screws or anchors. Make sure they’re tightly fastened. This will ensure your towel rack is installed securely.
4. Mount The Bar
Finally, mount the towel bar onto the brackets, and secure it in place. Double-check that it’s level, and adjust if necessary.
How to Install a Towel Bar Without Drilling
If you prefer not to drill when hanging your towel rack, here are some tips for hanging a towel bar without drilling:
- Follow the same steps as when drilling. Mark where the bar will be placed.
- Instead of drilling, use adhesive tape, putty, or velcro to attach the bar.
- Be aware that a bar secured without screws may be less stable.
