This month, we\u2019re introducing you to Casey, our Office Manager and Administrative Assistant.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><b>Name:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Casey Klaus<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Title:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Office Manager and Administrative Assistant<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>How long have you been working at Dolly? <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3 years, 2 months and 2 weeks (as of writing this)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>What do you do here at Dolly?<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> I run the office. I make sure everything is running smoothly, coffee and other supplies are in stock and pizza arrives in a timely manner on Pizza Fridays. I plan our office outings and monthly parties. What can I say, I am not a morning person.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>7:30AM<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I proceed to jump out of bed to get ready before I need to catch the bus. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>8:00AM<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3501\" src=\"https:\/\/dolly.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/the-rook-book.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"307\" height=\"475\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.taskrabbit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/the-rook-book.jpg 307w, https:\/\/www.taskrabbit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/the-rook-book-194x300.jpg 194w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 307px) 100vw, 307px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I leave my apartment to catch the bus, it\u2019s a couple blocks away which gives me time to listen to audiobooks on my commute. Right now I am listening to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Rook-Daniel-OMalley\/dp\/0316098809\"><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Rook<\/span><\/i><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by Daniel O\u2019Malley.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>9:00AM<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><iframe title=\"Spotify Embed: 80s Rock Anthems\" style=\"border-radius: 12px\" width=\"100%\" height=\"352\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/playlist\/37i9dQZF1DX1spT6G94GFC?utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I arrive at the office and check my Slack for any \u201cneed to do ASAP\u201d items. Once those are under control, I turn on the office music. It ranges widely by genre but my fave stations are throwbacks to the<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/user\/spotify\/playlist\/37i9dQZF1DWTJ7xPn4vNaz\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> 70<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&#8211;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/user\/spotify\/playlist\/37i9dQZF1DX1spT6G94GFC\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">80\u2019s<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and Rock\/Alternative. Today it is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/track\/0gl7X1Bj6HHhnEJoEGEjF2?context=spotify%3Auser%3Aspotify%3Aplaylist%3A37i9dQZF1DWWEcRhUVtL8n\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Indie Pop<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. I then grab a cup of coffee and check my email for any other action items.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>10:00AM<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3504\" src=\"https:\/\/dolly.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/casey-does-all-the-things.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"259\" height=\"194\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">My days vary but I typically spend the morning hours organizing meetings, calendar invites and responding to emails. I review resumes for our open positions here at Dolly HQ, upload bills from our vendors for payment, work on random projects, answer the door and catch up with who ever stops by my desk. I get a lot of pop up requests throughout the day, I would say I am <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">95% pro<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> at being interrupted and being able to hop back in to what I was doing.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>12:00PM<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3503\" src=\"https:\/\/dolly.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/everyday-im-puzzling.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"904\" height=\"678\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.taskrabbit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/everyday-im-puzzling.jpg 904w, https:\/\/www.taskrabbit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/everyday-im-puzzling-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.taskrabbit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/everyday-im-puzzling-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 904px) 100vw, 904px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I break for lunch, I do my best to keep my lunches pretty light\/healthy since dinner is where I pig out. I save some time to work on our office puzzle or browse Instagram and Reddit.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>1:00PM<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I spend 30 min post lunch cleaning up the office and restocking items.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>1:30PM<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">I was asked to be a hand model for a quick Marketing project. Please send all fan mail to my PO Box.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>2:00PM<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Weekly one on one with the CEO, Mike. The candidate did well, so time to pass them on to our next round of interviewers. A special thanks to our Helper Recruiting Administrator Martin for helping me out and to all the Dolly Helpers and Hands who completed their first Dolly. I take advantage of everyday with nice weather and walk the 4 miles from work. This may be my favorite part of the day because the people watching through downtown is at its prime and I take a scenic route through South Lake Union to enjoy the water. I decided to stop into <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ladyyum.com\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lady Yum<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> today and grab a few macarons for the walk home.
