She got into tasking because she was looking for a job where she could control her own schedule and be her own boss. Let\u2019s learn more about Anne M. and her journey into tasking!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-coblocks-dynamic-separator is-style-line\" style=\"height: 50px;\" \/>\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Why Behind the Task<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-17699\" style=\"width: 340px; height: 455px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.taskrabbit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/image_67503361-1-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"340\" height=\"455\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Working on a schedule that allows her to prioritize her life with her kids is one of the top, if not the top, benefits of being a Tasker.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI market myself as a mom. I like to take care of people and much of my life experience has been as a caretaker. I have been a single mom for about seven years. As the primary caretaker for two kids, I want to be able to earn an income while still prioritizing school pickups and events\u2014and be able to take a spring break or a sick day with my kids.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Bread and Butter Tasks<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAs a professional organizer, I want to help people grow and learn how to care for themselves and their homes. Frequently people hire me after a transformative life event, like a new baby, a move, a divorce or the death of a loved one. I respect my clients and I try to show compassion for wherever they are on their journey. Organization is personal and I want my clients to find their equilibrium at home.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Top Tasks Tackled<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first being: &#8220;Setting up a nursery for a couple expecting their first child\u2014because I know the happiness they are about to experience. It is just contagious, and it&#8217;s an honor to be a part of that process.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Now for the second: \u201cAssisting a woman to settle into a new apartment after leaving an abusive relationship\u2014helping her to feel she has authority over her home.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-17697\" style=\"width: 343px; height: 456px;\" src=\"https:\/\/www.taskrabbit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/image_67158017-768x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"343\" height=\"456\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.taskrabbit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/image_67158017-768x1024.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.taskrabbit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/image_67158017-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/www.taskrabbit.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/image_67158017-scaled.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 343px) 100vw, 343px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And the third most memorable task: \u201cHelping another single mom organize her whole apartment, room by room. There really is a sisterhood among women, and especially single moms. I love connecting with other women and helping them prioritize themselves and their homes.&#8221;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The DREAM Task<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIf I could do another task for anyone, I\u2019d love to do a task for another mom who couldn\u2019t afford my help. I\u2019d love to just help them take control of their home.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">There\u2019s Life To Be Lived Outside of Tasking<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cTrail running, rollerblading, and spending time with my family! I\u2019m traveling this summer to Paris and Morocco.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What Tasking Means to Me\u2026<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cBeing a Tasker and receiving positive feedback through reviews has boosted my self esteem. This is the first job I have had in years where I have felt in control of my work and where I have felt like I could thrive based on my own effort.\u201d<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through tasking, Anne\u2019s realized that helping other people, including single moms like herself, not only makes them happy but has also brought joy and made a positive impact in her own life.
