But he also noted that he learned to clean up after the job is done, a hallmark of quality that is part of his personal brand as a Tasker.\u00a0Other success factors have less to do with the hard skills (i.e. tools you know how to use) and more to do with soft skills (i.e customer service orientation).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Home Improvements Taskers&#8217; Top Advice:<\/h4>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li><strong>See everything as a challenge to conquer.\u00a0<\/strong>You\u2019ll find that there are repeat themes within the category, so once you\u2019ve mastered one skill and can add it to your portfolio, you can move on to mastering the next!<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>Get as much information upfront from the client to ensure you\u2019re the right Tasker for the task.\u00a0<\/strong>Offer full disclosure to the client\u2014if it\u2019s something you haven\u2019t done before but that you are confident you can do, state that in the chat thread.<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>Maintain an up-to-date profile.<\/strong>\u00a0For instance, include examples of your work in the Business Photos section, and in the Home Improvements category description, a list of new skills and tools you\u2019ve acquired. The more keywords in your Skills &amp; Experience description, the more you will come up in search results for relevant tasks!<\/li>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<li><strong>Offer a \u201cfree estimate\u201d\u00a0<\/strong>so you can properly scope the task before accepting it.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Top Home Improvements Taskers feel an increase in confidence and a sense of accomplishment with every Home Improvements task completed.
