Today, we’re thrilled to announce that Stacy Brown-Philpot is joining TaskRabbit as Chief Operating Officer. Stacy’s extensive global experience in operations, business development, and finance makes her the perfect fit to lead these functions at TaskRabbit as we continue to grow and scale our marketplace. Stacy joins TaskRabbit’s founder and CEO Leah Busque and Chief Revenue Officer Anne Raimondi to lead the company.

Stacy comes to TaskRabbit from Google Ventures, where she served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence, advising the firm’s portfolio companies in the consumer and business technology, marketplace, mobile, and payment sectors. Prior to that, Stacy spent nearly a decade at Google, leading global operations for flagship products, including Search, Chrome, and Google+.

In addition to deep experience on the consumer product side, Stacy held several senior-level finance positions at Google. Her responsibilities included managing the company’s revenue in select verticals, launching international finance operations, developing payment solutions, and implementing world-class customer operations. She also served as Head of Online Sales and Operations for Google India, where she directed remote sales and support for the company’s key customers. Stacy also brings with her a background in accounting from PricewaterhouseCoopers and expertise in mergers and acquisitions from her time at Goldman Sachs. Her considerable international and strategic experience will guide TaskRabbit as we globalize our business in 2013 and beyond.

“I am so proud to join the TaskRabbit team,” said Stacy Brown-Philpot. “When I met Leah in 2011, we immediately connected — personally and on the vision for TaskRabbit. My passion has always been the way operational, analytical, and strategic execution has the ability to transform technology ideas into wildly successful companies. I look forward to doing just that at TaskRabbit.”

Underscoring this announcement is the continued accelerating growth TaskRabbit is seeing. In the marketplace overall, the company sees month-over-month transactional growth in the double digits. With rapidly increasing demand for TaskRabbit coming from entrepreneurs and small businesses, Stacy’s extensive experience will be immediately applied to growing this new segment of the marketplace.

“I couldn’t be more excited to have Stacy join our team,” said Leah Busque. “From the moment I met Stacy, I was drawn to her discipline, tenacity, confidence, and passion for the TaskRabbit business. I’m ecstatic that we’re kicking the year off by adding another proven leader to our executive team. I look forward to Stacy’s contributions at TaskRabbit as we continue to revolutionize the way people work.”
