Handyman/plumber: Leaky kitchen and bathroom sinks

posted Saturday, Feb 11 by Carrie M.

Details

Description:

In the kitchen, a very old faucet leaks from the neck and the hot water handle when the water is running. A repair person said it was from the attachment to the faucet and possibly the washer. The fist 2 pics are of the kitchen.

In the bathroom, the hot water was dripping from the intake pipe. I'm not sure if it's the faucet or the intake pipe. I finally had to turn off the valve and can't use it. The 2nd two photos are of the bathroom sink.

Not all faucets use typical washers and my need special parts or need replacements. It might help if you could snap a pic of the faucets.

Hi - thanks for the advice. I'll post a few pictures.

I think the kitchen and bathroom faucets are doable. A flat washer and maybe an o-ring. The supply valve will probaly have to be replaced.
