Description:

MUST BE 21. Must be skilled in opening (corked) wine bottles. Please describe any previous experience or why you would be a good fit for this job. The expectation is that you look polished - wearing all black or black and white.

I'm looking for someone to handle the wine at our company's holiday party on the evening of Thursday, December 15th. You will be arriving 45 minutes before the start time of the party to get set up for your task, at 5:15. The most important things I need you to be are: PUNCTUAL, able to work without much direction - see needs and fill them. I need someone who notices what we need help with so that I don't have to micro-manage you and things get done (I would like to enjoy the party :).

I will need your help from 5:15 until around 10pm. The party is supposed to end by 9:30, so plan to help with misc. cleanup from 9:30-10.

Your primary responsibility will be to make sure there are 3-4 bottles of red wine and 3-4 bottles of chilled white wine out at all times (in ice bucket), and handle chilling additional white wine as needed. The fridge will be full of white wine, and any additional will need to be placed in the fridge as you take it out.

The goal is that there are open bottles of chilled white wine and red wine out at all times for people to help themselves to. This will involve constantly checking and keeping up with chilling additional white wine (any cases not in the fridge will be where you are stationed, and you will have to keep track of adding to fridge with some order so that you know which are chilled and which need more time). The freezer can be used in a bind - but don't forget about the wine in there!

You will also need to dispose of empty bottles into recycling bags and once full, take to freight hallway. There will be clear, disposable cups for wine, which you will need to replenish if they run low. Both wine and cups will be where you are stationed, so the only time you will need to leave your station is to take a bag of bottles to the freight hallway to dispose of.

I am hiring someone separately to handle beer, and may hire an additional helper to help with both, and cleanup.

There will be around 120 people in attendance.
