Details

Description:

Moving into a new house and I could some help painting the interior. It's a 3 bedroom and it will be empty so it should be pretty easy. Ideally, I'd like someone who can come for two days. I'll be doing most of the taping etc. I just need someone careful who can work a roller without dripping down the walls. I will start 2/17 and finish on 2/18.

Hi Matt. How many rooms will be painted? Is there trim that needs to be painted as well?

    Hi Bill,
I am looking for someone to work hourly. 8/day. We'll do as many rooms as we can get done in 16 hours and I'll finish the rest. There won't be any trim work.

    Hi Matt,
I see that you don't yet have any bids for this task and I would like to offer a bid. We Task Rabbits have some trepidation when it comes to bidding on a project that is open ended (meaning there is no definite length of time involved) because we may bid thinking the task may take only 2 days when it may require 3 or 4 days instead, in which case we would be locked in to our bid and would be required to work additional hours in order to complete your task. This would deminish the pay we can receive when going beyond the bid's original amount. And if we bid on 3 or 4 days of work and the job can be done in 2 days then you get charged for the total bid amount even though the task gets completed in much less time. You would not be happy if this happens. Granted you note an hourly rate but we cannot bid on hourly rates and must bid on the total project with one total amount.
So, if I may suggest, if you can somehow determine a more precise amount of time involved for this task then I believe you will get numerous bids. Another way to approach this is to re-post your task for 1 eight hour day of painting and use the "recurring task" option. The way this works is: for each subsequent day of painting assistance required by you the Task Rabbit you select for the first day of assistance will be automatically assigned for those extra (subsequent) days. If any of my comments are not clear and/or you would like further input in this matter please feel free to contact Task Rabbit customer assistance. There is a toll free number you can call which you can find on the website. They can advise you and help with ideas to set up a new posting for your task. Please don't hesitate to contact them.
    Thank you.

Thanks for the tip! I'm new to TR so this is good advice. I'll change my task right away.
